Because I am in the process of moving, I was unable to post this on the Professor’s birthday, but better late than never! To Professor I send my profound gratitude. I would not be the writer, or reader I am today without his influence. His saga of Middle-earth has taught me that no story is too big to tell and that the greatest narratives come from truth and history. Myth and history are made of the same stuff, as the Professor once proclaimed in “On Fairy Stories.” I hold that to be true and understand that nothing is worth writing, or reading, without great strength, heart, and above all courage. Thank you Professor Tolkien for all the inspiration you have provided for generations to come.

I graduated Penn State University with a degree in Medieval Studies. In both reading and writing I enjoy historical biographies, particularly British Royalty or history pertaining to the British Isles. All writing advice, opinions, and criticism is very welcome. I also run an Etsy shop dedicated to breathing new life in old books. I specialize in upcycled book crafts that make great gifts for my fellow book lovers. The Bibliophilia Co is where books are immortal. For more book recommendations and reviews find me on Goodreads! View all posts by The Bibliophilia Co
